Designing the Sunset Bronze Finish for Whirlpool Brand

The kitchen is beginning to change and we’re starting to see a shift in design. Families are now focused on open concept homes, merging the living room, the dining room and kitchen into a great room space.

The Whirlpool Contemporary Design was created knowing that the kitchen was becoming one with the living space and that the appliances are becoming accents, almost like furniture.

The new designs have a new aesthetic with clean finishes, flush lines, and the shape of the new handles with dual finishes. In evolving the sunset bronze finish from stainless steel, we’ve taken a very modern aesthetic and brought subtle warmth to it.

This color and these kitchen designs are all about integrating the consumer’s appliances into the cabinetry and furniture, which is where the kitchen is heading.
