“We are seeing in home design the look of maybe the last 20 years was very kind of ornate. All of the wood trim and the cabinets had a lot of extra form and shape into them – and a lot of varying heights within the cabinets in the kitchens.”
“And now we’re seeing that all kind of shift to something much cleaner, and much more of a minimal, sort of modern approach, but still with some of the traditional flavor.”
“The trend has kind of gone from a brushed stainless sort of accent color, to a gold or a champagne or a rose gold or a copper type of look. So, we’re seeing a lot of warming up of the metals in the kitchen.”
“The other thing that we’re seeing is a lot of matte black – we’re seeing that also in hardware, we’re seeing that in countertops and faucets. It’s a huge trend that’s been building for several years.”
